Wake Up and Smell The Coffee
Thursday, July 16th, 2009Aloha, my name is Lisa and I have an addiction to coffee. If you’ve never had coffee from Hawaii, you’re out of luck. Lucky for me, one of our merchants has the best coffee I’ve ever had and now, lucky for you, I will share a little secret with you: Donkey Balls.
This is probably one of the best kept secrets of Hawaii with their fine assortment of donkey balls (chocolate covered nuts and coffee beans), gourmet coffee, the tastiest hot sauce around, and fat cigars. Not to mention the merchandise with their signature logo on it. A legend because of all of the heavy carrying up and down the mountains of Hawaii over the years, a surfing donkey is the face of Keoki’s Donkey Balls. And a cute one at that. Clever names for their products and witty banter flood the website making even buying an experience in itself.
For 20 years now, Scott and Karen have run a great store in Kona, Hawaii called Boondocks and have featured these covered coffee beans and assorted nuts with gourmet chocolate that melts in your mouth and leaves you craving the whole bag. A perfect pair with a cup of joe in the morning. Just the right donkey kick needed to wake up.
Check out their website and have a taste for yourself:
