Stay Positive With Richard Simmons

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

In 1973, a wide-eyed Richard Simmons arrived in Los Angeles with a new attitude.  After losing a significant amount of weight, he set out to help those like him by forming a work-out routine designed to help those that may be overweight, obese, physically challenged, and even seniors.  Since then, he has gotten huge(ly famous).

Most people in this country have heard of Richard Simmons, seen his work-out videos, and probably seen him on TV.  However, most probably don’t know about what he is doing now.  With 250 days on tour each year, Simmons keeps busy.  “Hoot Camp” is a project that been underway for quite some time now, teaching fitness teachers and coaches how to incorporate humor and personality into their routines.  His positive attitude and constant smile is infectious and some say is the reason why so many people have been touched by him.  This upcoming year, Simmons is working on an educational project designed to help and support those children that are going through what he experienced as a kid: bullying.   His strong empathy and respect towards all people have made him a key celebrity in the United States as a hero to some and an inspiration to all.

Chicago Metro is proud to provide processing for such a motivational man.  Check out his website to learn more about the services and products that he offers.

The Wind Beneath My Right Wing

There comes a time in everyone’s life when they have to shape their own ideas and morals.  That’s where Young America’s Foundation comes in.  Young America’s Foundation was started in 1969 by students at Vanderbilt University.  They started University Information Services in order to inspire and teach young people the ideas of individual freedom, a strong national defense, free enterprise, and traditional values.  The name changed in 1971 and the organization became national, putting the Foundation on the map by pushing Conservative speakers to address colleges around the nation.

Exposing the American youth to these things isn’t an easy thing, though.  Through conferences, internships, seminars, and spreading educational material among young people is the most effective way for Young America’s Foundation to reach their demographic.  Taking the road paved by Ronald Reagan, this group has been dedicated to young people since they saved President Reagan’s Western White House, ensuring that his ideals and wishes for generations to come will be carried on over the years.  First Data is proud to support Young America’s Foundation as they continue to spread their message across the country.  You can learn more about them, and even attend one of their conferences at:
